A$AP Rocky - At.Long.Last.A$AP (REVIEW)

A$AP Rocky is a Harlem rapper and member of the A$AP Mob group.
To date he has released two full length albums, mixtape and has had a large number of features on other rappers songs. Rocky decided to drop his new album titled At.Long.Last.A$AP early, which seems to be the "In Thing" these days. He has definitely turned down a bit more on this one and gone for a more trippy sound.

Things I liked:

• Wide vocabulary when it came to lyrics.
• Clean and crisp production.
• Variety of instrumentals crossing many genres, not just rap.
• Good flow of songs and tracks fitted in the right places.
• Impressive list of features.
• Great artwork (Tribute to A$AP Yams)

Things I didn't like:

• Repetitive beats/instrumentals.
• Repetitive lyrics 
• Songs were too long and could have been cut shorter.
• Kanye West feature was pointless and featured really terrible lyrics that did not fit with the song theme.
• Too many songs: while it was good to see 18 songs, at least 5 felt like pointless fillers. If Rocky cut out those fillers it would be a better listen.

Final Thoughts

Do I like the album? Yes, its a good follow up to Long.Live.A$AP.

Would I listen to the full album again? No, but I do have a handful of songs that will be on repeat (the first half of the album). Fans will be impressed and will most likely enjoy the songs. I feel that Rocky should have made more "Bangers" because that is where he shines, there are just too many chilled songs which end up leaving you bored.

Windows 10 editions unveiled

Windows 10 is set to launch within the next few months, and Microsoft has now shared more details on the Windows 10 editions.

Microsoft said it designed Windows 10 to deliver a more personal computing experience across multiple devices.

Windows 10 will power a broad range of devices, including PCs, tablets, phones, Xbox One, Microsoft HoloLens, and Surface Hub.

Microsoft will offer various Windows 10 editions.

“These different editions address specific needs of our various customers, from consumers to small businesses to the largest enterprises.”

• Windows 10 Home is the consumer-focused desktop edition. It offers a familiar and personal experience for PCs, tablets, and 2-in-1s. Windows 10 is also coming to the Xbox, giving games and gamers access to the Xbox Live gaming community, enabling the capture and share of gameplay and giving Xbox One owners the ability to play their Xbox One games from any Windows 10 PC in their home.

• Windows 10 Mobile is designed to deliver the best user experience on smaller, mobile, touch-centric devices like smartphones and small tablets. It has the same Windows apps that are included in Windows 10 Home, as well as the new touch-optimized version of Office.

• Windows 10 Pro is a desktop edition for PCs, tablets, and 2-in-1s. It is similar to Windows 10 Home, but offers many extra features to meet the needs of small businesses.

• Windows 10 Enterprise builds on Windows 10 Pro, adding advanced features designed to meet the demands of medium and large organisations. Active Software Assurance customers in Volume Licensing can upgrade to Windows 10 Enterprise as part of their existing Software Assurance benefits.

• Windows 10 Education builds on Windows 10 Enterprise, and is designed to meet the needs of schools – staff, administrators, teachers and students. This edition will be available through academic Volume Licensing, and there will be paths for schools and students using Windows 10 Home and Windows 10 Pro devices to upgrade to Windows 10 Education.

• Windows 10 Mobile Enterprise is designed to deliver the best customer experience to business customers on smartphones and small tablets. It will be available to our Volume Licensing customers.

Microsoft said it is making progress with Windows 10, and is on track to make it available within the next few months.

Microsoft will offer the full versions of Windows 10 Home, Windows 10 Mobile, and Windows 10 Pro as a free upgrade for qualifying Windows 7, Windows 8.1, and Windows Phone 8.1 devices that upgrade in the first year after launch.

Windows 10 upgrade will be free for a year

Microsoft has just announced the first pricing information for Windows 10 at its preview event today. The biggest news is that the new OS will be completely free for current Windows 8.1 and Windows 7 users for its first year of availability—after that time period has expired, OS upgrades will presumably need to be paid for as they are currently (though Microsoft was less than clear on this point, it made no mention of a paid, Office 365-style subscription for Windows upgrades). The Windows 10 upgrade for Windows Phone 8.1 users will also be free.

"Once a device is upgraded to Windows 10, we'll be keeping it current for the supported lifetime of the device," said Terry Myerson, executive vice president of the Operating Systems Group. "With Windows 10, we think of Windows as a service... The question 'what version are you running' will cease to make sense."
Windows 7 and Windows 8.x collectively run on well over half of the world's Windows PCs, meaning that a wide swath of existing Windows users will be able to make the jump to Windows 10 free of charge. A larger user base, especially in the first year after Windows 10's official release, increases the chances that developers will target Windows 10 and its new APIs.

Users of the Windows 10 Technical Preview have already gotten a taste of this continuous stream of updates, and the release version of Windows 10 will be no different. As we've covered previously, Microsoft will offer different "channels" for different users—one that gets new features as soon as they're available, one that never gets new features, and one that allows administrators to roll out new features at their own pace. Security updates will be published at the same rate they are today. This new update scheme is an effort to balance delivering new features to consumers while not upsetting businesses that prefer to roll updates out more slowly.

Apple has offered the last two versions of its OS X desktop operating systems for free, but this is a first for Microsoft—it has offered discounts for new Windows upgrades in the past, but it has never made them available for free.
