Top Rap Albums of 2015... So Far

2015 has been a great year for rap and hip hop. We have seen new releases from Drake, A$AP Rocky, Big Sean and more. Some of these artists have actually released career defining and game changing albums. Lets have a look at some of the best and worse releases.

Best Releases
I chose these because they offered something new for each artist and sounded unlike any other rap albums released in the last few years.
  • Drake - If You're Reading This Its Too Late
  • Kendrick Lamar - To Pimp A Butterfly
  • A$AP Rocky - At.Long.Last.A$AP
  • Logic - The Incredible True Story
  • Action Bronson - Mr. Wonderful
  • Mac Miller - GO:OD A.M.
  • Travis Scott - Rodeo
  • Big Sean - Dark Sky Paradise
  • Dr Dre - Compton (A Soundtrack)

Worst Releases
These are not terrible albums, they are just not up to par with other albums or the artists previous albums.
  • Tyler, The Creator - Cherry Bomb
  • Kid Ink - Full Speed
  • Future - DS2
  • Drake & Future - What A Time To Be Alive
  • Meek Mill - Dreams Worth More Than The Money
  • Lil Wayne - Sorry For The Wait 2
  • Tyga - The Gold Album
  • Hopsin - Pound Syndrome

The year is not over, Kanye West, Machine Gun Kelly and more are still scheduled to drop albums later this year. This is arguably the best year for rap and hip hop in ages.

What are some of your best and worst albums of the year?

Dell Inspiron 5548 Laptop Review

The Inspiron 5548 laptop is one of the newest mid-range releases from Dell and replaces the 2014 Inspiron 5547. It sports a slimmer design compared to the previous Inspirons as well as some impressive specs. If you are looking for a well built laptop with great overall performance then you have found the right system.

Under the hood
  • Intel i5 5200U 2.2GHz CPU (2 Cores with Hyper Threading)
  • 8GB DDR3 1600MHz RAM
  • 1 Terabyte Western Digital Blue Hard Drive (5400RPM)
  • ATI 2GB R7 M265 Graphics Card
  • High Definition 15.6" Non-Touch LED Screen (1366x768)
  • Full Numerical Keyboard
  • MaxxAudio Speakers
  • Multi Gesture Touchpad
  • 1 USB 2.0, 2x USB 3.0, SDCard slot , LAN, Audio Jack and HDMI Connection.

The laptop is sturdy and well built, the screen lid is covered with brushed silver aluminium while the rest of the body is covered in hard matte plastic. Even though it is covered in plastic it does not feel cheap, it is definitely built to last. This system falls inbetween the Regular and Ultrabook range.

I really enjoyed typing on the keyboard as it fell solid and comfortable. My favorite thing about this keyboard is that it is very spacious and gives you plenty of room to type. Another great addition is the new Multi Gesture touchpad which is a first for Dell, it closely resembles the touchpads on Apple Macbooks. It does however not come close to Apple's as it can be unresponsive and sticky at times.

I was completely taken back by the performance of this system, it handled all the games I threw at it and effortlessly handled daily tasks like Word processing, internet browsing and watching movies. I found the battery life to be average at best - it lasted 2 hours when gaming and about 6 hours when performing my daily tasks. If you want great off charge battery time you will need to enable all power saving settings and stay away from the games. If you are going to play games make sure you have the charger plugged in to allow maximum performance.

Hard drive performance is average and is nothing to boast about, but what else would you expect from a 5400RPM drive? I purchased a Samsung EVO 256GB SSD and cloned the system, the difference was night and day. The laptop took 30 seconds to boot with the stock hard drive and only 5 seconds with the SSD. If you want to improve this systems performance by 50% I highly recommend ditching the stock hard drive and installing a SSD.

Windows 8.1 Single Language (64 bit) comes pre-installed as the operating system and supports a upgrade to Windows 8.1 Professional if you purchase a upgrade key. You can compare versions here. Microsoft Office 2013 and McAfee trial software comes re-installed but can be removed or purchased. You will be happy to know that there is no annoying bloatware besides the regular Dell Backup and Registration software.

Good for Gaming?

Being a avid gamer I just had to add this section in. The ATI R7 M265 may be a mobile graphics card but it sure packs some serious punch. I played Battlefield 4, Counter Strike Go, GTA IV, Watch Dogs and Fifa 14 at Medium to High settings with no problems at all.
I have to mention that the laptop did get quite hot after an hour of gameplay, it reached 60-75 Degrees Celcius which according to Dell is safe. I would highly recommend purchasing a cooling pad to provide some extra cooling and ventilation.

Pros
Cons
Great gaming performance
Average Battery Life
Lightweight and Portable
No DVD Writer
Comfortable Keyboard
LED Screen could be better
Solid design
No SSD Hard Drive

I give this laptop a 7/10.

How to Choose the Right Laptop

span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Computers are our best friends when they run smoothly and when they don't they are our worst enemies.
I have a saying for those that want to buy a new system - You can't afford to buy cheap. Since you will most likely spend a majority of your time using it, you will need to find the right laptop for you.

FIRST, you need to decide what you will use it for and SECOND, What your budget will be.

The Ultrabook range offers the best in portability with their small size (11"-13") and light weight. Don't be fooled, they still pack a huge punch in performance. These units run Microsoft Windows and Linux. Dell and Lenovo have some great Ultrabooks right now (see below). Another option is a Macbook Air which runs Apple OSX and boasts great performance and battery life.

Uses: Microsoft Office, Internet browsing, Music and E-Mails.
Pros: High Performance, portability and great battery life.
Cons: No DVD ROM, Small screen, upgrade options limited and limited USB Ports.

Recommended UltraBooks
Apple Macbook Air - $899.00 - $999.00
Dell XPS 13 - $700.00
Asus VivoBook X202E - $450.00

The General Laptop offers the best of both worlds: Performance and decent size.
These generally come in 15" sizes and up. They are slightly bulkier and heavier than Ultrabooks but don't be fooled - they are still very portable. Most people buy these laptops as they are great for Home, Office and recreational use.

Uses: Microsoft Office, Movies, Music, E-Mails, Internet browsing and basic gaming.
Pros: Large Screen, Full sized keyboard, cheaper than Probooks and good overall performance.
Cons: Bulky, heavy and weaker battery life.

Recommended Laptops:
HP Probook 450 - $650.00
Dell Inspiron Q15r - $550.00
Macbook Pro - $1099.00 - $2499.00

The Gaming Laptop is for those that want to play games but still cart their system around. They are generally very expensive and offer extreme performance. Battery life is limited but you can upgrade almost any component inside the laptop. The laptop outperforms any Ultrabook or General laptop.

Uses: Gaming, Movies, Music and Internet browsing.
Pros: Up-gradable, extreme performance, full sized keyboard and durable.
Cons: Very heavy, poor battery life and more expensive than all other laptops.

Recommended Gaming Laptops:
Alienware 17 - $3000.00
HP Omen 15 - $2100.00
MSI Ghost Pro3k - $1900.00

Tips

  • Choose a Platform that is convenient for you: Windows, Linux or OSX.

  • Work within your budget.
  • Make sure it has a warranty.

Happy computing :)

How to earn money online in 2015

Earning money online is easy, millions of people do it and I am living proof that is really works. Your payout all depends on how much work you put in so don't expect to make hundreds of dollars over night. Let's have a look at some ways you can start earning your own dollars online.

1. Take Online Surveys

I am not particularly fond of the whole online survey thing since I had a bad experience using CashCrate.
But there are lots of online survey sites and people who do it successfully. Here are a few if you want to investigate it further:
Swagbucks
Global Test Market
InstaGC
EPoll
I recommend proceeding with caution and definitely not paying anything to join.

2. Testing Websites

Website owners are occasionally looking for feedback about their websites. Usertesting.com allows you to get paid to test and give feedback about websites.Their current payouts are $10-$15 per test.  The tests normally take about 20 minutes.

3. Get Paid To Tweet

Did you know that advertisers will pay you to send out tweets about their products? As you could imagine the bigger your audience the more you will get paid, but you can find out more here – SponsoredTweets.com.

 4. Blog for Ad Revenues

Ad networks such asGoogle AdSense pay big money to place their ads on your site, and you’ll receive a payment every time a reader clicks one. While it’s easy to go overboard and fill every spare pixel, if you place your ads well it’s possible to make a comfortable income from your site.
One of the most successful bloggers around today is John Chow, a Canadian blogger who makes more than $40,000 a month through ad sales and other revenue streams. Ironically, his blog is about ways to make money online.

5. Become a Virtual Assistant

Every small businessman would love to hire a full time assistant to take care of the little things, but many simply can’t afford one. Thanks to the Internet, though, they can now hire part time assistants who work for a whole host of clients, and all at a much lower cost than a full time staff member.
If you work from home this may be a perfect opportunity to make a consistent income. Virtual assistants can earn $20 an hour in return for booking travel tickets, interacting with clients and dealing with the daily needs of small businesses.
